CBM renovated a derelict property in North London, and excavated a large basement level to create 6 new flats.
This was a project creating 6 luxury apartments from a dated house falling to disrepair. As it was an existing property, we begun by stripping the house bare. Probably the biggest task involved in this project was the basement excavation and underpinning works. The work of course required careful supervision and reinforcement, in order to maintain structural integrity while creating a large basement level.
As well as work on the basement structure, a large masonry extension was built from the rear of the building and other changes were made to the layout throughout the building.
Inside, the property was fully refurbished to a high standard, keeping up with luxury standards of today. Elements remaining from the original proeprty were also restored to give the building a facelift.
Outside, we carried out extensive landscaping and paving which resulted in an entirely new courtyard and garden area.
