Crayford Mews - N7

Restarting a stalled new build scheme in North London.

When a new build scheme stalled, CBM were appointed to take over and complete the project.

This project required six terraced houses built on a restricted back garden site in Tufnell Park, North London.

A tight archway positioned between two neighbouring properties meant we couldn’t drive vehicles onto the site. Logistically, this created a challenging scheme, so we planned our approach carefully in advance.

What was a dilapidated archway to an unused site is now an inviting approach to a private residence. This project entailed external works of which we were proud to deliver. The entrance includes an engraved front gate, a pergola and planters that line either side of the path. At the rear, we created a communal courtyard neatly finished with benches, planters, and the same resin bound paving that runs smoothly throughout.

Each house is finished with hardwood floors, modern fittings, sliding doors and their own balcony. We constructed these houses to sustainability level 4 – with robust air tight construction and air source heat recovery heating units.

Other features include green roofs and a steel/masonry erected bike store.
