Momo’wich is a vibrant south east Asian restaurant on a busy street in East London.
CBM managed the conversion and fit out of a dilapidated retail space to create a new home for Momo’wich. We took time and care to plan the scheme, as the property is located in an urban conservation area in Spitalfields.
This major overhaul included the fit out of both ground floor and basement levels.
We added a new staircase to provide access to the basement area, which we converted into a commercial kitchen. For ventilation, we installed ducted exhausts through to the roof of the four-storey building.
We stripped back the restaurant interiors to reveal the original brick walls. Other features include engineered oak flooring and exposed galvanised steel ductwork.
The finished design includes exposed conduit runs, an air-conditioning unit on the soffit, brushed stainless steel casings for the display and server counters, and bespoke modern furniture.
Together with our building partners, we delivered a high-end commercial unit with standout appeal.
We completed this fast-track scheme in just eight weeks.
